PC SAS 9.3 is failing to launch with the below mentioned error normally, but when I open it using 'Run as administrator' it launches fine.
Can someone please help us to resolve the issue ?
ERROR: Assign for SASHELP.CORE catalog failed during SAS System
ERROR: initialization.
ERROR: User does not have appropriate authorization level for library #C00005.
NOTE: Unable to initialize the options subsystem.
ERROR: (SASXKINI): PHASE 3 KERNEL INITIALIZATION FAILED.
ERROR: Unable to initialize the SAS kernel.
From the errors you are seeing when opening SAS, I would say the issue is either that the userid you are using to start SAS does not have permissions to access those physical locations your libraries are pointing to OR those paths you are using for those libraries has
at least one folder in those paths that is marked as READ ONLY in the folder attributes. Most of these cases are because of the READ ONLY attributes of a folder in the path.
