Hi

I have the response:

NOTE: Processing XMLMap version 2.1.
NOTE: Libref FI_SME was successfully assigned as follows:
Engine: XMLV2
Physical Name: \\********\testing&j..xml

having run :

NOTE: The file OUT_PIPE is:
Filename=\\********\testing2.xml,
RECFM=V,LRECL=32767,File Size (bytes)=0,
Last Modified=13Oct2020:10:45:50,
Create Time=13Oct2020:10:40:59

NOTE: 2 records were written to the file OUT_PIPE.
The minimum record length was 0.
The maximum record length was 32293.

So I can see it creates the xml fine, but when the xml read step it doesn't pick up the value in &j which in the example above was 2

You most probably made the mistake of enclosing your filename in the LIBNAME statement in single quotes, which prevents resolving macro triggers.

For more help, please post your complete log, including the statements that were run; just the NOTEs is inconclusive.
