Hey,

 

does anybody know if there is a spatial weight matrix (binary) for the in SAS stored Maps data for the different countries?

Or if there is a procedure to identify the neighbors by the GIS information in the maps data?

By hand it would take ages, I guess.

I'm not familiar with a "Spatial weight matrix" but this link http://robslink.com/SAS/democd26/adjacent_info.htm

has an examle of identifying adjacent areas. The page has two links, one to a display of a map and the other the data and program code to create the display. It uses map data sets from the SAS Graph map library.
