I have a variables as follows. Day as character,Month as character and year as numeric. I want to combine these variables to create a new SAS date variable.
Example:
data test;
day='21';
month='11'; /*have to convert to this to November. i.e.1 as January, 12 as December*/
year=2018;
run;
Desired Output:
Renewal_date='21NOV2018'd /*should be in SAS date*/
Concatenate day, month and put(year,z4.) to one string, and use the informat ddmmyy8. in an input() function. Assign a date format as desired.

Good news: We've extended SAS Hackathon registration until Sept. 12, so you still have time to be part of our biggest event yet – our five-year anniversary!
Learn how use the CAT functions in SAS to join values from multiple variables into a single value.
