Hi,
I have a log generated for one of my code.
I saved it on thwe desktop.its saving like a NOTEPAD...
Is that the way we savea log?Is there any other thing???I need to send it via email
i tried to pull it on to SAS window from my desktop and it is not the original what I saved
Thanks
Assuming you are using the regular interactive SAS GUI (not EGuide), the saved log is just a text file. The application that will open it in windows is determined by the extension and the file association in windows. Typically, the extension is ".log" and the default Windows file association is Notepad.
You can just send the saved log file as an attachment or you can cut-n-paste it into the body of the e-mail.

Hi,
In SAS Enterprise Guide , you have the "Send to" tab in the Log window. You can select the "Email Recipient" which will automatically take you to Outlook and you will be able to see that attached log file in the email.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
