Hi, Is there a procedure to determine the size of a dataset in a SPDS library?
The mosy trivial way is to use the OS tools.
In windows select all files of the dataset and check the properties.
Linux has probably its own tool to summarize selected file disk space.
With sas check next link:
You will need to select all files of desired dataset and ignore others.
No. you can't . But you can use OS command to get it. The attachment is a paper I wrote several years ago.
Ksharp, are you able to send me a copy of the document that you wrote several years ago regarding SAS Dataset sizes? for some reason I am unable to download it.
It is about SPDS library 's size. But the logic can be apply into table 's size. Here I upload a rtf file, hope could download this time, or leave your e-mail .
