Howdy friends! Courtney Baker here and as The Quad project manager, I’d like to give you a Texas-size welcome! I can hardly wait for it to open on Sunday, April 28 at 4:30 p.m. CST. Why am I excited? Well, it’s big, really big (113,000 sq. ft.), more interactive than ever, open for 18 hours during the conference and features more than 125 booths. Here are a few don’t-miss attractions:
Whew … I told you The Quad is big! I have one more shameless plug. Drop by the Information desk, located at the entrance inside Exhibit Hall D, to meet my knowledgeable team. We are the first stop for everything happening in The Quad. Whether it’s helping attendees find demos and presentations that pique their interests, connecting them with SAS experts or listening to their SAS stories, we’re here to help. See ya'll in Dallas!
Hola All
Next time we hold it Dallas, we can hold the QUAD at ATT Stadium aka the Death Star in Arlington.
🙂

I just looked up ATT Stadium...I see what you mean about the death star!
Holding the Quad there is a great idea, but isn't it a little too small? 🙂

@CourtneyBaker - If I bring my work laptop to the Quad, will there be ethernet connections so I can sign in and show SAS Tech Support folks some issues I'm having?
Thanks,
Lori
Hey Lori!
We are looking into what internet options are available and will let you know. We can't wait to meet you at the Technical Support booth!
Thanks!
Jessica
Lori, Can let me know what suite of SAS products would be necessary to replicate these concerns? I may be able to stage an environment that we can use to demonstrate the behavior if you have issues connecting to your environment.
Thanks.

@MD23 - I don't think SAS is the issue. My issue is trying to use Enterprise Guide on the Server they set up at my company. I'm used to Display Manager on Windows and trying to use EG on a Linux server is driving me nuts. I can't find anything! I can't even find WORK directory. I don't think it's EG, I think it's how the server is built out. It's actually a collection of servers. I've tried putting in help tickets and reach no satisfactory conclusion.
One of the reasons I wanted to come to SGF is so I can show someone what I see and hopefully get some direction to find the data I need to find. On Display Manager there is an Explorer view where I can see all the data associated with the LIBNAMES I've created in that session, regardless of whether the datasets were created during that particular SAS session. In EG on the server, all I can find is the datasets created during that session. It's not enough. I'm relying on my belief that what I'm expecting to find is really there; that SAS wouldn't build a newer tool and give us LESS functionality. So I'm sure it's there it's just a matter of finding it.
Arrgggh,
Lori
Hang in there! The transition from the old Display Manager to EG can be frustrating, but in the end I think you'll find it worth while.
One thing I do when I'm in your situation is use my cell phone as a mobile hot spot to give me Wifi access to my computer. Is that an option for you?
