.....double or even triple booking your conference agenda.

We want to thank you all (@LoriGoldman@jimw@djrisks, and @JHoyer) for your great feedback regarding the conference scheduler for SAS Global Forum. We are pleased to report that you are now able to double (and triple) book sessions into your agenda. We apologize for the inconvenience before. We were able to confirm that allowing for overbooking of sessions would also appear in the mobile app so attendees have a consistent experience.

Happy schedule building!

Jenn

Jenn,

Wow; not to knock anybody else, but this is the most responsive SGF staff that I can remember in ages. Kudos!

Hi Jenn,

This double booking feature was very welcome. Only, I just found out it does'nt apply for personal time. When I want to schedule personal time I cannot choose a start time if I already have an event at that moment. Can that be changed also?

Kind regards,

- Jan.

Hi Jan,

I had raised a number of app feature requests with Gail such as being able to customise start and end times, double book for multiple meetings and invite multiple people to a meeting. These features unfortunately are not possible for the app this year. 😞

Kind Regards,

Michelle

Thanks for pointing that out Michelle. I understand changing the app is a difficult process so many requests are pushed to next year. I don't think you can add personal time in the app at all as it is, and it will be a great improvement. But on the website you can and there I was hoping to be able to double book.

Cheers Jan.

Hi Jan,

I know what you mean... I was hoping to use the App calendar as my only calendar.

Cheers,

Michelle

I agree. You can only schedule personal time when there is an opening in the schedule. So again, as an example, I 'multi-task' at SGF, sometimes only attending part of a session before either going to another one or meeting a group at a certain time. I know it's a mess when I print out the schedule, but somehow I figure it out when I'm there. Too many good choices/options at any moment at SGF!

@jklaverstijn and @MichelleHomes - I am going to ask our App and Web Gurus (I am not one, I just get to announce the good stuff!), and see what they say.  As Michelle indicated this is a great idea for improvements for the app and Agenda Builder next year.  And it will likely be next year.  The App has improved each year with suggestions from all of you and we are taking notes.

Stay tuned and I will see what the Gurus say.
