You have questions. Questions that you want to ask, but you are not sure who to ask. Questions that you are not sure are even worthy of asking.

No question is too big or too small for this lineup of SAS experts -- all of whom will be made available at these designated "Ask the Experts" breakout sessions, a new feature at SAS Global Forum 2016!  These experts have facts, they have stories, and they have the answers to the SAS version of "life, the universe, and everything."

Mark your agenda and plan to attend -- you'll learn what you might have previously thought of as "unknowable" about your favorite topics.

This is one of the areas I wanted to expand this year because I knew how many people had benefitted from the Ask Vince sessions in the past few years.  And I am so glad we were able to include several Ask the Experts sessions this year.  One of the reasons I have attended SASGF in the past was to get an answer to a specific question.  Before I would have gone to one the experts in the Quad or one of the Code Doctors to get the question answered.  I can still do either of these.  But I also know that if I have a question, it is likely someone else has the question too.  These Q&A sessions are perfect to ask your question and allow you and others to benefit from the answer.  Thanks to all who are participating as experts!  These sessions are going to be great!

Since there is no session titled, "Ask the Experts: SAS Statistical Procedures,"  I invite anyone who has a statistical question to bring it to The Quad and ask me or another expert who is manning a booth for a SAS analytical procedures (SAS/STAT, SAS/ETS, SAS/OR, SAS/IML, SG Graphics,....).  SAS Technical Support often has a presence in the Quad as well.

If we can't answer your question on the spot, we'll be sure to show it to a collegue and get back to you.  Here's a real-life story from last year's SAS Global Forum in which I spent part of the Kickback party providing an answer to a SAS customer who had asked a question in The Quad earlier in the conference.

I really wanted a stat Ask the Experts this year, but we just weren't able to pull that one together. Thanks for letting people know where to get star questions answered!

Just goes to show you: SAS experts will answer questions anywhere. I've even delivered software demos on the airplane ride home after the event -- and I enjoyed it!

I am very excited about this -- it will be great!  I already have a question ... can we start asking early 🙂 ?

@nancy88wilson If you've got tough questions, it's probably a good idea to float them early so the experts have time to plan a response -- or devise a way to evade the question. Smiley Wink

I thought we had communities for that!

YES - -and the communities are AWESOME!  But sometime there are questions which are better (more easily) asked face to face.

AND I'm especially looking forward to the opportunity to see some of these folks in person!

I just learned our data warehouse is moving to an IBM cloud. Is # 12263 the place to go to ask about how to work with data up there?

@Karen, I think this session might be of use to you.  And if you can't make it to that, visit the Data Management area of the Quad to speak with an expert 1:1!
