I have a file on unix.

It is an html file that was zipped.

Q: Is there a way to double-click on it in EG and see the html page rendered?

BTW, the icon by the file shows a zip image, so EG definitely knows its a zip.

When I doubleclick on it, it shows binary instead of unpacking it...

thanks for helping!

EG figures out the icon to display by looking up the .gz file extension in your local Windows system, and showing the associated icon.

But EG supports only a few "external" file types for "in-process" viewing: .sas, .sas7bdat, .xls, text-based files, .pdf, and .doc/docx -- perhaps a few others.
