Can anyone tell me if there is a way to tell what SAS stuff you have in your agency from within EG?

PROC SETINIT will tell you what software you have licensed.

The best way to determine what is available on a Windows machine is to run filedetvX (x is 8 or 9), see
http://support.sas.com/kb/7/640.html
You can run that from within EG if you are setup to have access to the "X" command (that won't work for SAS on a remote server).

From EG, you can:

- go to View->Server List
- connect to your server (expand it to see Libraries, for example)
- Right-click on the server in the list and select Properties.
- On the Software tab, select View SAS Server Products.

This will show you what products are licensed and installed. It's not comprehensive -- it shows mostly just those products that have relevance to an EG user.

Thanks! Now can you tell me how I can actually view the data in the libraries that I seem to have available to me? I think it might be a permissions thing, but I'm not sure who is our SAS administrator type person who would set permissions or such 😞
