Hi,

I have a SAS DATA SET . i want to put its name with string having more than 32 character.
As Per my Knowledge, we can put 32 character file name Maximum....

if is there any way putting file name with more than 32 character, then please help me...

Doesn't look like you can give a non-default name to a SAS data set. If you're working with DBMS tables, you would be able to specify non-default names (assuming the database allows longer ones). That would involve using a name literal -- more on that at the bottom of this page:

Note the restriction:
You can use a name literal only for variables, statement labels, and DBMS column and table names.
