Setup up Profile on EG 4.3 (Is a Metadata server required?)

Can I setup a profile on EG 4.3 to my local SAS? Then have the profile to this to store my repository info or is a metadata server mandatory. Need to setup of unix server locations and looks like a profile needs done first to set a repository.

The rest of us have EG 4.1 with local repositories without profile stuff. Need steps if possible. Thanks

EG 4.2 and 4.3 have a "No profile" mode, which will use your Local SAS if it's installed.

For EG 4.2 and 4.3, you need to have SAS 9.2 installed to use it as your Local server.
