Hello,

I want to enroll in one of the free SAS courses using SAS OnDemand for academics. I downloaded the files in the course guide, including EGP and sas7bdat files.

When I tried opening (importing?) an EGP file, I got some error messages, including this:

ERROR: The SAAS Enterprise Guide project file was saved in a Local environment, but SAS Studio is connected to a Metadata Server. The converted process flow may not run.

Can anybody tell if this is fixable and how to fix the problem?

Thank you,

Yoko

Hi:

What class are you working in? I am confused because most of our classes have explicit instructions for SAS OnDemand for Academics students and the class files for SAS OnDemand do NOT include EGP (Enterprise Guide) project files.

You will NOT be able to practice any of the Enterprise Guide classes with the SAS OnDemand for Academics server. What we recommend is that you stick to the Programming level classes, such as Programming 1, Programming 2, SQL 1, Macro Language 1, etc, all of which have instructions ONLY for the SAS OnDemand for Academics data creation.

Please post the title of the class you're taking so I can verify that the OnDemand instructions are inside that class.

If you prefer not to post your class information here, you can always send mail to elearn@sas.com in order to have the instructors on duty help with your question. We will need to know your name, your email, the title of the class, the name of the demo or exercise with the problem, and the description of the problem, to help you.

Thanks,

Cynthia

Hello @Yoko
Further to what @Cynthia_sas has said, it looks like you are trying to open EGP project files in SAS Studio.
Please use SAS Enterprise guide to open SAS EG projects (the files with .egp extensions).
