SAS has just released a revision to SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1 that includes support for Microsoft Vista. You can read more about it here:

http://blogs.sas.com/sasdummy/index.php?/archives/37-SAS-Enterprise-Guide-Vista-ready!.html

Most of the changes required for this support are in the installation process. To benefit from the Vista support, you will have to obtain the new version of the installation media (CD or DVD). As a bonus, the new revision includes all of the latest SAS Enterprise Guide hotfixes (through hotfix 6).

Thats great news to us as customers. Is there a timeline for SAS v9 to be supported on Windows Server 2008 this year?

Joshua, as far as I know, there is no firm timeline for this. Some parts of the SAS Foundation have dependencies on a Java runtime, and right now there is not adequate support for the required Java runtime on Windows Server 2008.

I'd love to see the day that EG4.1 exists on Solaris and Linux.
