Hi,

I am using SAS Enterprise Guide 7.12(64 bit). I set the correct profile as active in the connections dialogue. SAS EG is now connected to the correct server. I am submitting the code I have written by pressing F3 button. Now again SAS EG is connecting to Server. Since I have already connected to the server it should submit the code and run it rather than connecting again and running the code, isn't it?

Am I missing something here?

This happens every time I submit a code.

This message is displayed while EG sends the code to the server. In EG 7.15, it has been changed to "Preparing the server", which is less misleading.

Usually, this message is displayed for a very short time, but if you are working over a VPN and have more latency than with a direct connection, you will see this message longer.

Thanks KurtBremse for the explanation. 🙂

Yes I am working over VPN, may be this could be the reason. I will let the group know what it shows when I submit a code using a direct connection. This might take few days but definitely will update this post when I get a chance to work with direct connection.

Cheers!!
