Does anyone know how I can disable the F-8 Short-cut key in Enterprise Guide?   It just ruined my morning.  Ugh.

Thanks.

Hi Linda,

You can't really "disable" the short-cut keys per say, but you can re-program them to do nothing:

From the list of pull-down menus across the top, start with Program, then

Editor Macros -> Record New -> hit the space bar once and then hit the backspace key once to delete the space you just typed -> Program - > Editor Macros - > Stop Recording -> enter a name for your new "do-nothing" macro in the Keyboard macro name text box -> click on the Assign keys button -> place your cursor in the Press new shortcut key text box -> press the F8 key -> click on the Assign button -> click Ok

Note that if you delete this "do-nothing" macro that you just created, the F8 key will go back to doing what it did before.

A bit of a round-about approach, but if you really want the F8 key to do nothing when you hit it, this will work.
