How do I export a cube view to excel and have it look like the screen? I can do this fine if I'm in the portal viewer but EG seems to lack this functionality.

In EG you can create a slice from your cube view, and then Export the slice to Excel (or other formats). It won't necessarily look exactly like your cube view though.

If you have the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office, you can access your SAS OLAP data directly via the Excel pivot table.

There's another trick you can try that might get you what you want.

1. Navigate to the desired cube view.

2. In the EG project explorer, right-click on the cube item and select "Create Report Snapshot". This creates a SAS report item in your project that looks like an HTML-version of your cube view.

3. Right-click on the table portion of your cube view and select Copy.

4. Paste into an Excel worksheet.

Thanks Chris.

Hi,

Is this still possible somehow in EG 4.2? The option 'create report snapshot' appears to be missing in the right mouse menu.

Thanks,
Rudolf.
