Hello everyone,

 

I am learning SAS EG from SAS EG guid:

In chapter: Combine Reports into a Single Document

 

when I try to open new report. it says Project does not contain result in SAS report format. but in the project tree there is pie chart and summary table. please see the screen shot.

is it possible that you need to generate the report to see the chart which would be updated with any data changes in the underlaying tables?

That means your pie chart and summary table tasks are using a format other than SAS Report.  (Custom reports can only use results in the SAS Report format.)  For example, perhaps they are using HTML instead, or another format.  You can check which results formats you are using by default by looking in Tools->Options->Results->Results General->Results Formats.  If you want to create custom reports, check the "SAS Report" results format.  Or, rather than setting this global option (which will affect all items), you can set on an individual item by right-clicking the task, select Properties->Results->"Customize result formats, styles, and behavior", then check SAS Report, and re-run.
