Elimate "Inherit" option from Summary Statistics

Is there a way to turn off the "INHERIT" option when doing proc means with the point & click "Summary Statistics" menu item? I ran into a problem where a numeric variable from my raw data had a length of 3, which was OK for the raw microdata. But, the INHERIT option gave the same length to the summary variables for it and the sum of all 4 million records was a bit larger than the length of 3 would allow. The only way I solved it was to "add as code template" and take it out. Is there any point & click way to turn it off?
