What the below Error can mean?

 

'ERROR: An exception has been encountered.
Please contact technical support and provide them with the following traceback information:

The SAS task name is [DATASTEP]
Segmentation Violation'

Generally means it's a good idea to call SAS tech support (it's free!)

 

You can try starting a fresh session (quit Enterprise Guide, then reopen it and reconnect to the server) to see if the problem repeats.  

 

You didn't show your DATA step code that caused this error, can you post the log showing the data step and the error message?  That might help point to some possibilities.
