After upgrading to 8.2, I tried to load a project with an AUTOEXEC process flow.  I received an error:

The server "Local" is not defined in the current repository.

I could not find Local on my lists of servers, nor run any code.  (Normally, I would have no other connection)

In the Connections Dialog: MenuBar >Tools > Connections > Server.  I found the checkbox unchecked which reads "Automatically add local SAS server (if installed) to server list".  I checked the box; my EG installation was then able to connect to the SAS local application.

I believe that this is all that needed to be done. But, full disclosure, I also followed instructions under "Register Base SAS® as the Local COM Server" in Usage Note 58761. It's not obvious to me that this did anything to help in this case.
