I have a population of many many thousands for which I have lots of data regarding their characteristics.

One of these characteristics is a yes or no variable and I would like to know which characteristics/combination of characteristics are the most relevant in determining whether an individual is a 'yes' or 'no'.

I have been recommended to apply the CHAID statistical decision tree technique in E-Miner. Does anyone have any thoughts re. this technique or whether there are any relevant alternatives to the technique I have been recommended?

Thanks.

Yes, logistic regression is another option.
