Hello!
I need to find metadata table objects in SAS DI using their physical names. Would be very grateful for a solution or a link to it.
BR,
Mikhail
Can you be a bit more specific about your requirement?
How do you intend to use the search result?
What version are you in?
There are not much of search capabilities in the 9.3 and bellow within DIS - but there are some in SMC.
I have a list of tables (physical names) that will be moved to a new schema in the DW's database. So I need to find these tables in DIS to update their physical storage. We are using SAS 9.3, SAS DIS 4.6.
Isn't the schema tied to the library and wouldn't changing schema there be the thing you need to do.
Then depending on whether the library was pre-assigned or not you will have to re-deploy some jobs (the once with pass-through SQL) or all of them if they use one of the tables under the library you've changed.
Impact analysis on the tables should give you the list of jobs you need to consider for re-deployment.
