When I used the following codes to upload tables from SAS to Netezza
PROC SQL;
CREATE TABLE OUT.&table_name
(bulkload=YES bl_options='logdir "f:\sasuser\netlog"')
as
select * from &Libname..&Table;
quit;
I got the error.
ERROR: Error terminating Netezza load: Communication link failure
There were no log and bad files from Netezza.
It is difficult to find the real causes.
One of the common cause I found is the SAS format issue.
If the SAS numeric columns were formatted as decimal format like '8.2' , the communication link failure would be found.
The solution is to modify the SAS tables with those format to no format, using the following (column_name is an example the the column with the decimal format).
format column_name;
