 When I used the following codes to upload tables from SAS to Netezza

  PROC SQL;

  CREATE TABLE OUT.&table_name

       (bulkload=YES bl_options='logdir "f:\sasuser\netlog"')

  as

  select * from &Libname..&Table;

  quit;

I got the error.

ERROR: Error terminating Netezza load: Communication link failure

There were no log and bad files from Netezza.

It is difficult to find the real causes.

One of the common cause I found is the SAS format issue.

If the SAS numeric columns were formatted as decimal format like '8.2' , the communication link failure would be found.

The solution is to modify the SAS tables with those format to no format, using the following (column_name is an example the the column with the decimal format).

format column_name;
