Hello everybody,

1. we added a new channel on SAS RTDM through the following UNIX command:

./sasciutils -addChannel -userid sascisvc@saspw -password <password> -utilitylogfile /home/sas/channel.log -code TNC -name "Test New Channel" -skipcdm

2. After command execution, it was printed the following message:

2019-05-20 16:32:11: Connecting to the Mid-tier...

2019-05-20 16:32:31: Mid-tier connection established.

2019-05-20 16:32:31: Adding channel with code TNC - this can take few minutes.

2019-05-20 16:32:32: Channel with code TNC and name Test New Channel added to the channel list.

3. On Customer Intelligence STUDIO, while creating a new reply definition, the new channel is visible into the drop-down list.

4. The new channel "TNC" wasn't added to the "CI_CHANNEL" Table.

Could you tell us the reason why the new channel wasn't added on the CI_CHANNEL table?

Do we have to add it manually?

Thank you in advance for your help,

Paolo.

Hi Paolo,

you need to restart SASServer6_x after you added the new channel to publish to the CI_CHANNEL table.

Thanks,
Beate

Hi Beate,

thanks for your answer.

We restarted the server SASServer6_x but it doesn't work anyway.

Is there another solution?

Thanks,

Paolo

The new channel must be used in a Campaign's Communication or Reply Node.  And the Campaign must be published.  The Publish will do the insertion into the CI_Channel table

Hi,

thanks for your help.

We executed the following steps:

1. We used the new channel into the reply node as you recommended us;

2. the campaign with the previous reply node was deployed and activated;

3. we ran the campaign.

Unfortunately, after executing these steps, we can't still find the new channel in the CI_CHANNEL table.

Have we executed the right procedure? Are we missing something?

Thanks,

Paolo
