Merging cell population while preserving treatments

Hi,

We need to assign to specific populations and we need this value to be written to the CDM. For example say we have 3 lists and each list need to be identified by a letter A, B, and C respectively. The way we do it now is by splitting the groups into cells and assigning to each one a treatment with a custom detail field that would take the value of A, B, or C. Since we use treatments this value would be written to the CDM. However after assigning the letter to the groups we want to export a single file not 3.However it is difficult since we can assign treatments only to cells that directly precede a communication node. We are wondering if there is a way to be writing the field to the CDM and exporting only a single file.

We thought of doing a post-process that would combine the 3 export files from each communication node but is there an easier way?

Hi Dan,
Can you use append rather than replace on the exports and set the 3 export targets to be the same ?

Is there a reason to use 3 different communications?  Sounds like the same Export file layout is created in each Comm.  If you use 1 Comm with the 3 marketing cells all connected and the export includes the Treatment Custom Detail Tag, then you will get one combined file.

Yes, indeed I can only use one communication node with 3 upstream cell nodes. I seem to have missed that. Thank you!
