Hi,

I am sending emails with SAS CI360 including a date-merge tag based on on-prem data. The format for the date field in the IMAP is set to DDMMYYP8 (e.g. 13.12.2023). Also when exporting the date variable from CI360 to check, this is the date representation we see. Nevertheless when sending the email to customers, the format is changed automatically, and what the customers see is DDMMMYYY, e.g. 13DEC2023.

Does anybody know whats going wrong or what we do have to change to get the correct date representation or are there best practices? (We are working with an external HTML creator and copy the code into CI360 HTML Editor)

Hello @Laura_C_M ,

we encountered a similar challenge with date formats. Our requirement was to adopt the Finnish date representation (e.g., 8.1.2023 for January 8th, 2023), and our solution involved transitioning from numeric to character representation. This adjustment ensures that all dates are now universally human-readable (to Finns, I might add), irrespective of email clients, language settings, or other client variations. The conversion from numeric to character is performed on-premises. We've applied a similar conversion approach to prices, aiming for a format like 19,95 euros instead of 19.95 euros.
