Do you know where to find the log files for troubleshooting SAS® Marketing Optimization 6.x issues?
1. Filename SAS MarketingOptimization6.x.log (MidTier)
Location: <SASPlanName> Lev1/Web/Logs/SASServer6_1/
Log Contents:
Middle tier errors, information about when a stored process has been run from the middle tier. This log file will tell you if the connection to your MidTier Server is established.
2. Filename MarketingOptimization_yyyy-mm-dd_pid.log(ComputeTier)
Location:
<SASPlanName>Lev1/Applications/SASCustomerIntelligence/SASMarketingOptimization/Logs
Log Contents:
Code and results from the SAS Marketing Optimization macros that are executed by the SAS Pooled Workspace Server. This is the primary log for SAS Marketing Optimization.
3. Filename SASApp_PooledWSServer_yyyy-mm-dd_machine_pid.log(ComputeTier)
Location:
<SASPlanName> \Lev1\SASApp\PooledWorkspaceServer\Logs
or
<SASPlanName>\Lev1\Logs
Log Contents:
The Pooled Workspace server log is your first line of defense whenever you get an error in the Marketing Optimization user interface that you do not understand. For example, if the user interface displays an unexpected error when you try to save a scenario, create input data, or view optimization reports, you should first check the Pooled Workspace server log; this log often provides more information about the error.
4. Filename optimize_x.log(ComputeTier)
Location:
<SASPlanName>\Lev1\Applications\SASCustomerIntelligence\SASMarketingOptimization\scenarios\userid\BusinessContext\Scenario Name\log
Log Contents:
If an optimization returns a status of Failed for a scenario, you should check the optimization log for errors.
5. Filename ShareServer_host name.log(ComputeTier)
Location:
<SASPlanName>\Lev1\ShareServer\Logs
or
<SASPlanName>\Lev1\Logs
Log Contents:
Information about when users connect and disconnect, details about the MO datasets located under SAS/Share.
