With the Indian summer in the Nordics the last weeks, we can't wait to get out after work hours and enjoy it. So, it makes sense that the first half year of events and activities is almost finished.

With 1,700 registrations for FANS, 650 for Outpace Tomorrow TODAY, and 150 for SAS Days, the team working with you, SAS users, is pleased to have a break.

But we haven't been lazy and can proudly present the 2H program for FANS, so please go ahead and register for those relevant to you.

In the June newsletter, we shared the following content:

1. Voilá - the FANS program for the second half year is ready.
Short and sweet – Voilá – click the button to find the FANS Network Meetings and Events from September to December. It's something for everyone!

2. Will you travel with SAS to Las Vegas in September?

If you're considering joining the SAS Nordic team at SAS Explore in Las Vegas on September 11-14, you should take action now.

With the summer vacation coming up shortly, and if you/your company is a FANS member, you have free conference tickets to use.

If you want a FANS-free ticket, don't hesitate to contact your local FANS coordinator to get a code to remove the conference fee from the registration. If you'd like to add training or exams, you can pay with your credit card upon registration. And, yes, we are planning a joint Nordic Dinner!

Please get in touch with us if you're unsure if your company is a FANS member.

3. Nordic FANS summer events gathered 400 engaged SAS users.

A successful series of FANS summer events took place throughout June across the Nordics, from sushi school and dinners to games and music, as well as some interesting professional topics with a core focus on SAS Viya. Roughly 400 customers came together to cement their close relationship with SAS further.

Denmark: Celebrating summer with FANS social and network events.
It was a lovely summer day in Copenhagen with FANS activities from morning to night. Two hundred people engaged throughout the day with the Visual Analytics network meeting in the morning, the Programming network after lunch, and, in the evening, most gathered on the SAS office roof terrace for cocktails and networking before continuing outside the canteen with games like Darts, Shuffleboard, Ice hockey, Backgammon, Meyr, and Ladder golf and the evening ended with a barbeque, drinks, and Latin music from two musicians.

Finland: SAS Visual Analytics & Sushi School.
The last Finnish-speaking FANS event before the summer was a Sushi School for Premium members, and the experience was incredible! Tokyo 55 taught a group of 14 enthusiastic FANS members and SAS' own Pietari Koskela how to make delicious sushi, and they are now officially qualified as sushi chefs after two hours of fun, laughter, and step-by-step instructions.

Norway: Summer gathering at Gimle - and BA3 with DJ Patski Love
145 FANS and SAS colleagues gathered for Oslo's traditional FANS summer event, starting with a half-day "cross topics" conference at the ancient cinema theatre, Gimle. The topics varied, but SAS Viya was integral to all presentations.

In the afternoon, everyone walked down to the trendy BA3 restaurant & lounge and enjoyed some bubbles and great conversations on the terrace before the dinner buffet and drinks – and mingled with DJ Patsky Love playing some funky lounge music. It was a beautiful summer day with a warm temperature, so several moved again to the terrace after "closing hours."

Sweden: FANS' summer event is all about music
FANS Sweden did many engaging activities in June, starting with a FANS BikeMeet where everyone started from the Swedish office to visit a car/motorcycle MeetUp north of Stockholm.

Then, later in June, the annual summer party took place with 100 people, customers, and SAS, and everyone had a blast! Exciting and fun presentations between 15-17, with SAS and guest speaker Tove Lugnegård from the Stockholm region. And then the PARTY! Everyone enjoyed a lovely grill buffet in 2 sets – and a music quiz followed by Live music with the cover band Van Grogg.

If you're interested in exploring SAS in the same atmosphere, you can sign up for a network meeting and Christmas event after the summer (for FANS members):
