Topdanmark is Denmark's second largest insurance company with 2,400 employees. 1,000 persons use SAS® software, including SAS® Enterprise Guide and SAS® Visual Analytics. They use SAS for analyzing data, marketing solutions and building data warehouses.
Topdanmark uses SAS on mainframe (z/OS) and many Windows servers. SAS Visual Analytics is deployed in a mixed environment comprising of both Windows and Linux.
The insurance company has an internal SAS network group consisting 80 members who are primarily hardcore SAS developers and analysts.
Topdanmark is a member of SAS FANS – and has participated on SAS Global Forum (SUGI), SAS European Users Group International (SEUGI) and SAS Forum in Denmark for many years. Per Andersen who is System Specialist at Topdanmark is also a board member of the Danish SAS Platform Users Group and a frequent speaker at various SAS events.
In addition, the company actively participates in SAS FANS networking activities (e.g. SAS Platform, SAS Programming and SAS Visual Analytics users groups) for knowledge sharing with other SAS customers. At SAS webinars, a group of Topdanmark’s SAS users are gathered locally to discuss the webinar topic during and after the webinar is held, to increase and share the knowledge learned and to discuss how to apply this in the Topdanmark environment.
