This month, we caught up with Martin Durafour, who is working as a Senior SAS-specialist in Business Intelligence at Jyske Bank in Denmark. We asked him three short questions about FANS:
Jyske Bank uses SAS for reporting in SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Web Report Studio and STPs in a self-developed reporting framework.1. What do you value most about being a FANS member?
For me, the networking opportunities and the informal meetings and discussions between the network members and SAS employees are what I value the most. I appreciate FANS providing the set-up where we can discuss, share knowledge and tips with other peers and get up to date information about SAS products and solutions – and on how others are using SAS in their business.
2. How do you see your co-workers utilizing the FANS membership benefits?
Normally we are present with a larger group at SAS Forum in Danmark and some of my colleagues attend the SAS Visual Analytics Network. Personally, I join the Platform network and have done so for approximately 14 years. Occasionally we also join the webinars and other events.
3. How do you work with SAS software today, and how does this contribute to your organization’s objectives?
At Jyske Bank we use the complete SAS “palette” and the last years our usage has increased from reporting “only” to be a part of the operational production systems with API (Application Programming Interface). We still use SAS much for reporting in SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Web Report Studio and STPs in a self-developed reporting framework.
