Can someone let me know if we need to know how to read raw input data files and arrays in the base programming exam? I just completed the associate programming exam and now looking to move to the performance based exam. My understanding is arrays are covered in the advanced programming exam and the base exam will be on reading SAS datasets and not input files. Thank you

Trust in the Exam Content Guide. You will find it at https://www.sas.com/en_us/certification/credentials/foundation-tools/base-programming-specialist.htm...

It lists all the topics. If it's on there, you need to know it (arrays and raw data aren't). On that webpage, you will also find lots of great resources to help you prepare.

If you are seeing evidence somewhere on the web that makes you think arrays or raw data are on the specialist exam, run away quickly - you are on a bad site.
