Hi,

I would like to do base SAS certification. I have covered Base SAS procedures such as formats, Informats, functions, statements. But still have some doubts in creating datasets by using these procedures. Could any one help in getting clarity on all these functions? like what is what?

Also I would  like have some guidance on preparation of base sas certification? like if any preparation tool or guidance?

Many thanks.

The SAS Base Prep Guide and a minimum of 6 months worth of real-world experience using Base SAS procedures should get you all the way.

Buy the practice exam before you sign up for the actual exam. It's a good investment to gauge your preparation and readiness.

Hello,

The SAS Global Certification team just recently produced a webinar about the Base and Advanced Programming credentials.  I posted a notification about the On-Demand version to the top of our board on our Community site.  Here is the link for your reference:  https://www.sas.com/en_us/webinars/overview-base-and-advanced-programming-exams.html.

The webinar covers what to expect and where to find the best study resources.  Make sure you download the exam content guide from the certification website as it is the complete description of what is tested on the exam from a topic perspective.  Finally, check out the library article on tips and strategies for the A00-231 SAS Base Programming Performance-Based Certification Exam.  On the certification community site it is listed under the box "From the Library".

Time and practice are also important so be sure to allow yourself time to practice everything you learn and study.

Hope this helps.  Thank you for your interest in becoming SAS certified!   Best of luck to you in your studies.

Kindest regards,

Becky
