Hello,

I am having trouble launching SAS University Edition on the Oracle VM VirtualBox. When I run the application the VirtualBox displays the following message on the VM window:

"This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU."

The VirtualBox screen shows SAS University Edition as Running.

My PC meets all the system requirements specified in the download manual.

Please help. Thanks.

Hi:
There's a Tech Support note about that error -- http://support.sas.com/kb/53/263.html -- it looks like you need to adjust your Virtual Machine settings.

Many Thanks Cynthia.

I made the necessary changes in the settings and it is working now.
