Hi! I am preparing graphs using SAS ODA, to be included in a Word-document.

Later on this document will be converted into a pdf file and published.

My question:  What is the best way to produce the graphs?  Shall I use PNG or RTF (or PDF)?

At present I use both RTF and PNG. In my opinion PNG gives better overal picture.

Another question: What useful options are there to modify the graphs.

Many thansk in advance. SAS Graph is quite nice, but I do not know it very well.

PNG is a good solution in your case.

SAS Graph is quite nice, but I do not know it very well.

Try the sg procedures too, they are more modern. proc sgplot instead of proc gplot for example.

What useful options are there to modify the graphs.

You'd have to be more specific. What shortcomings to you see or what improvements do you need?

Hi! I am using PROC SGPLOT. Quite good.
Examples of problems/questions to be solved:  Fontsize, thickness,  bold/notbold.

proc sgplot is not SAS/Graph.

You need to be more specific with your problems. bold face can be set by choosing the right font.

You can globally change fonts/sizes/bold used in SG graphics via this code:

Hi! I got a private answer from LeRoy:
The best and definitely adequate image file format is PNG. Use the LISTING destination to direct the output to a folder or location of your choice. Use e.g. Microsoft Word o to insert the PNG file in the correct place in the text.

MANY THANKS for the discussion! / Br Anders Sköllermo
