1. Analyze the content of each imported / created table using a procedure specific.

2. Display the content of each table

which procedure should i use to answer these 2 questions ?

Analysis generally is based on what research question you want answered. Such questions might look like:

Is the mean/median value of x in group A less than/the same as/ greater than in group B.

Are the values of X distributed the same in groups.

Is the value (or mean/median/min/max) of X increasing/decreasing over time.

Does the value of X change in relation to values of one or more other variables.

And those just scratch the surface. But the type of question determines which procedure(s) and options would be used.

Content: Typically would use Proc Print or one of the other report procedures like Report or Tabulate to display values. Proc Contents describes the data set properties such as numbers of variables, type of variables, numbers of records. Your choice.
