I have been attempting to follow the SAS Programming 1: Essentials course for SAS OnDemand for Academics. I have followed all of the instructions for how to make a folder, but for some reason, when I click on Files (Home), "New," and then "Folder," absolutely nothing happens. No window for designating the name for the new folder comes up. What seems to be the issue here?

Hello ...

that should work.

Just to check: You are seeing this

Also, creating a folder shortcut and proceeding with same instructions is throwing an error.

Hello @u63641135 ,

You must create your subfolder under Files (Home) not sasuser.v94. From the screen shot you provided, it looks like you are trying to create a folder under sasuser.v94.

Make sure Files (Home) is selected when you try to create your new subfolder.

Good Luck!

Please try with a different browser and an incognito/private window. If that doesn't resolve, please request support for this issue by sending an e-mail to SASoda@sas.com. As far as I can the status for the AsiaPacific is OK so creating a new folder should not be an issue.
