I have been having some issues with Enterprise Miner not starting and looking for suggestions.

I have a work machine and a home machine, both running Windows 10 and using Chrome as my browser.  I am using SAS OnDemand Enterprise Miner in my classroom.

On my work machine, I log into SAS OnDemand, and start Enterprise Miner for MWF day classes.  Download the main.jnlp file, run it and Enterprise Miner starts and works fine.  Come in on Tuesday evening to teach an evening class, EM won’t run.  It just keeps “downloading and verifying“ the application.  After about 10 minutes of “Downloading Application” and “Verifying Application”, I get an error that says the Application won’t start. I click on “Details” on the error dialog box but nothing happens.  I come in the next morning and EM starts without an issue on my work machine.

Students in my MBA class are able to log into EM using their accounts so it is not the server.  To get around the issue and teach my class, I use Teamviewer to remotely access my home computer.  I open the SAS OnDemand page, download the main.jlnp file and Enterprise Miner runs fine on my home machine even though it wouldn’t run on my work machine two minutes earlier.

I have tried clearing the cache on Chrome as well as rebooting, it didn’t make a difference.  This has now been two Tuesdays in a row where EM wouldn’t start on Tuesday night but works fine on my home machine.
