Hello,

Is there anyway to test for normality on Proc Mixed other than the graphs, such as a shapiro-wilk test? i.e is there anyway to get a figure for normaility?

You can save the residuals from PROC MIXED, and then test normality of the residuals in one of many ways:

  • Probability Plots (also called P-P plots)
  • Q-Q Plots
  • Shapiro-Wilk test

  • Kolmogorov-Smirnov test

  • Anderson-Darling test

  • Cramér-von Mises test

  • and probably others

Is there away to perform this just for the random effects as well?
