Hi,

I'm fairly new to using SAS and just received this error that I can't for the life of me figure out how to solve.

ERROR: CLI error trying to establish connection: [Hortonworks][Hardy] (34) Error from server: SASL(-1): generic failure: GSSAPI

Error: Unspecified GSS failure. Minor code may provide more information (Ticket expired).

Any help in solving would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi @jaejaes

Looks like you are trying to make a libname connection to kerberized hadoop. Error shows that the ticket you (SAS Session) are trying to use has expired. You will have to generate a new ticket and launch a new SAS Session using the updated ticket to make a successful connection.

Incase you are new to the setup, its better if you reach out to your site administrator to understand how you can generate a new ticket.

Thanks!
