Has anyone else experienced updating the private SAS JRE changing how fonts are handled on your system?
We had a system updated and our programs started issuing this message.
WARNING: The font Times New Roman is not available. Albany AMT will be used.
I expect this message under certain situations like a font is not found but I wouldn't expect a Java updated to cause the inability of SAS to find the font.
So looks like we have a clear situation if you are updating JRE to watch out for losing your fonts on a linux box... Tech support is slow but I wanted to share this out to other people in case you have the same issue. Below I am putting a list of supported fonts before and after JRE update java.version = 1.8.0_322. The first list from from a fresh build that brought 1.8.0_252-b14 and the second list is the 322 version showing the shortened list including loss of SAS Monospace
