I originally posted this in the macro section but, the more I think about it, this would be a more likely place.  The original question was whether one could use SAS to create ASCII Art from jpg files.

One poster suggested that JMP can be used to analyze pictures but, as I recall, SAS Graph must have something similar in order to accommodate the iframe option.

Thus, SAS Graph experts, can SAS Graph be used to analyze photos in a similar manner to:http://blogs.sas.com/content/jmp/2013/01/24/image-analysis-of-an-elephants-foot-in-jmp/

Of course, I'd also like to discover if it can be used to facilitate ASCII Art, but both questions are interesting ones.

I don't know of anything in SAS/Graph that can be used to analyze pictures.

(doesn't necessarily mean there's not such a thing ... but I've never heard about it if there is!) 🙂
