adding client specific views to PostgreSQL VI 10.8, AML 8.3

Hi all,
we have a request to write complex queries based on the information regarding alerts client have in AML 8.3 (VI 10.8)
we were thinking about creating some views in the VI internal DB that will help us to query the data.
is this possible?
what is the best practice for this? a difference scheme, etc?

It's better to create a new Schema with all the custom views so that these are more manageable. however, you could create views in existing schemas form where the data is being sourced. Adding new tables and views shouldn't impact future HFs or upgrades.
