Need your inputs on below request from customer regarding SAS CDD 8.3 Solution.

Customer wants to generate alerts in CDD only if the score going from LOW & MEDIUM range to HIGH range or HIGH to LOW & MEDIUM range. If the scores are changing from LOW to MEDIUM or MEDIUM to LOW, there should be no alert in system.

Assume, below are the range of score for the different risk levels.

HIGH: 70-100

MEDIUM: 30-70

LOW: 0-30

Requesting your support to achieve this as CDD has a flow and we can’t control final steps in the flow when it generates final score.

If there could be some way to pass old score of customer in the final Customer table to be used in Summary Scenarios, there we can utilize same and achieve. Please suggest.

Thank you for your support.

Alert generation in AML and CDD 8.3 is governed by the VI 10.8 Scenario Admin. Scenario flows generate alerting events, that role up into alerts. There is typically only one alert per actionable entity per Domain. The flow, including the summary scenario, will only create an alert if the alerts does not already exists and conditions stipulated in the flow are met. If an alert already exists, it is more a question if the alert gets re-activated, i.e. a new alert version being created.

There are few limitations to the logic one can include in the summary scenario. The way you describe your use case seems something that can either be set as conditions in the summary scenario or by executing some of that business logic in the prep tables.
