Meet the Super FREQs
BeverlyBrown
Community Manager

With Valentine's Day a week away, it's fitting to show some love for an elite group of SAS employee community members. Some answer questions, solving an outstanding number of topics. Others share their expertise by publishing articles or other helpful content that set up SAS users for success. Each year about this time, we sift member data to see who's going above and beyond. Standouts are recognized as SAS Super FREQs, named for the beloved SAS procedure, and their community profiles display the familiar caped running-man icon:

Please join us in congratulating the 2024 inductees, who today received their "capes":

Super FREQ facts

  • They demonstrate SAS’ core values.
  • Like similarly honored SAS Super Users and PROC Stars, they have access to a private forum where they can confer with other SAS staff and their customer peers.
  • They gain the ability to edit other members’ posts for clarity.

Selection criteria

SAS communities managers review employee activity and induct new Super FREQs annually based on a variety of criteria. There’s no single formula, but we evaluate such things as tenure as community members, quality and quantity of posts, number of solved topics, and activity in other SAS support channels. We also consider leadership behavior, like helping new community members ask questions effectively. Super FREQs resume the rank of SAS Employee when they’re unable to prioritize community activity -- and that's to be expected at a company where long-tenured employees' roles evolve over time.

Congratulate and thank the current and past Super FREQs for their part in making SAS communities awesome!

Not to sound like too much of a mutual admiration society, but we need to acknowledge @BeverlyBrown@ChrisHemedinger@AnnaBrown, and @ShelleySessoms for the way they foster knowledge-sharing and positive vibes in the SAS Communities. And thanks to awesome contributors like @Reeza@Kurt_Bremser@ballardw, and @Ksharp who are so generous with their time and expertise!
