Changing your user name and email on the communities

We believe that the communities are pretty self-explanatory, but we do often get asked two questions:

 

  • How can I change my user name on the communities?
  • How can I change my email address?

This post will address both, because they are quite simple to do:

 

  1. To change your community username, visit your community settings by clicking My Settings from the menu on your community avatar. Your new username will be applied automatically to all of your posts and replies.
  2. Since your communities profile is associated with your SAS profile, simply go to your SAS Profile and select “Change email.” This will cascade to all of the sas.com or support.sas.com sites that ask for a sign in. And the change takes place immediately. Visit the community again (while signed in) to see the changes reflected there.
