When we launched our revamped communities in September 2015, we knew we would continue to tweak the design based on user feedback. Well, the time has come to implement some of those changes.
Navigation
The first thing you might notice is the new “Find a Community” navigation bar. The old orange box with the hamburger icon (as we called it) just wasn’t working for many of you. The new navigation bar is blue and has a nifty drop down arrow.
The navigation functions the same, it just has a new look.
Icons
The next thing you might notice (well, we hope you notice) is a new set of icons denoting articles, posts, ideas, etc. We wanted to give them a fresh look and also make them a bit more engaging. Pay attention to the color change. If the icon is orange, you haven’t read or clicked on it yet. Once you click on it, the color changes to grey. Now it will be easier than ever to notice the new-to-you content on a page.
Wondering what the icons mean? Hover over them and the description will pop up.
We’d love to get your thoughts on these changes; let us know how you like them. And we aren’t done yet. There are more changes to come…so stay tuned!
