"Recent Activity" and "Unanswered topics"
on SAS Communities home page ... are no longer correct for me.

 

How do I know?

There are answers given to the "Unanswered topics" and when these answers come,
the topic stays in "Unanswered topics" instead of moving up to "Recent Activity".

I think we're back now -- recent topics lists and board lists are now updating as normal.
